Who We Are Electric Motor Service Limited (EMSL) has been selling and servicing industrial electric motors and generators in Western Canada since 1945. In addition, EMSL is an industry leader in the sale, service, and remanufacturing of industrial and residential water and wastewater pumps. EMSL was founded as a small electric motor service and repair company, and was purchased in 1991 by the existing ownership group. Since that time, EMSL has grown to be a Western Canadian leader in the sale of a broad range of industrial products. With four branches strategically located throughout Alberta, EMSL has the presence to meet the needs of clients across the province, and the west as a whole. EMSL’s locations include a full sales and service facility in Edmonton, a full sales and service facility in Fort McMurray, a sales & warehouse facility in Edmonton (focusing on pumps) and a full sales & service facility in Calgary. In addition, EMSL owns a fleet of transport vehicles for shipping our products between facilities and to our customers. This means better prices and timely service. With over 80 employees, we provide services to many Western Canadian industries, including mining, pulp and paper, oil and gas and, more recently, the wind industry. EMSL is a certified and approved service and warranty facility for most electric motors, generators, and water/wastewater pumps, able to take on any service and remanufacturing challenge with our vast array of remanufacturing tools.
