Ernest and wife Helen, immigrated to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1962. Ernest had an entrepreneurial vision of opening his own machine shop and being his own boss. Wynn Machine & Manufacturing Ltd. was founded, and began operation in 1976 as a one man machine shop.
