Walterdale Theatre, at 55 years old, is one of Western Canada’s oldest amateur theatre groups. With the exception of a paid part-time Administrator, Walterdale Theatre is operated entirely by volunteers with a love of theatre, members of any age and background have the unique opportunity to participate in all aspects of live theatre. We do it for love, not money.
The Walterdale Theatre is a quaint venue with great staff and reasonable prices for plays. It's a safe place for learning and growing with a wide variety of shows and a welcoming atmosphere. The seating is good, and the venue offers wonderful live theatre in Edmonton. Many praise the historic, homy, and friendly environment with diverse programming.

Membership — Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals The Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival is a founding member of the (CAFF). CAFF has established a set of guidelines and philosophies to which each Fringe Festival must adhere for Fringe Indoor Theatre: Participation in the Festival is determined by a non-juried process; Participants receive 100% of the ticketed box office receipts for their performances; Fringe Festival producers have no control over the artistic content of performances; Fringes should provide accessible opportunities for audiences and artists to participate.
