As a family-owned business started by Carsten Carlsen in 1962 with the 1st location on Jasper Avenue, we have moved and expanded to our present locations. Carsten along with his wife Dagmar who also started and ran the Edmonton Gymnastics Club for 34 years it was a natural progression to move into the fitness equipment business. In 1996 their daughter Britt Carlsen and her husband Craig Standen bought the business and today their son Kieran also works for the company. Our Edmonton manager since 2000, Chris Folkinga with his many yesrs of experience can answer all of your questions. In 1998 Kenneth Isaacson also became a member of our family as a partner in our Calgary location. He comes with extension fitness knowledge from his training in New Zealand. Physique Fitness Stores shops the world for new and exciting fitness equipment manufacturers. We purchase in container quantities to secure the best possible prices for our customers. With no operating long term debts, Phyique Fitness is very financially strong.
