The Canadian Arab Friendship Association (CAFA Centre) is a community services agency that is the home of the Canadian Arab Friendship Association (CAFA). Established in 1965, CAFA was the dream of seven Arab community members who wanted to ensure that the Arab heritage was preserved for their children, and promoted to the non-Arab community in Edmonton. Over the years CAFA grew to be an important part of the multicultural mosaic in Edmonton, involved in many arts and cultural events and committees. In 1986, CAFA officially opened an office in the Dickinsfield Mall. Today the CAFA Centre is a hub of activity. From the 44 child playschool, to assisting seniors, the Centre provides the Canadian Arab Community with a voice and a bridge to other resources available in Edmonton and area.
