Local business reviews
Ifeoma, 22 April 2025
We purchased our home in Beaumont from Sidhu Homes in April 2020 and moved in June 2020. While the house was beautifully designed at first glance, the overall workmanship has been extremely disappointing, and the customer service—especially post-sale—has been unacceptable.
Shortly after moving in, we experienced roof leakage. The owner, Tarseem, initially sent workers to patch it, but the repair was substandard and failed to address the root cause. Over time, we began to notice multiple issues that pointed to poor construction quality:
Gaps around the main entrance door allow cold air in during the winter, creating condensation both inside and outside. This has increased our utility bills significantly.
The mudroom door doesn’t latch and cannot be properly closed.
The attic insulation was poorly done—when a roofing company inspected it, they found scant fiberglass insulation, which is below expected standards. This has contributed to our home being extremely cold during winters.
Snowmelt due to temperature changes causes water stains on all top-floor ceilings and has damaged interior doors, leading to bubbling and warping.
Speaker wiring in the ceiling was compromised due to water leakage and was poorly finished, with wires hanging loosely in the basement.
Despite multiple attempts to reach out to Tarseem for assistance, he has been evasive—claiming to be out of the country, transferring calls to someone who doesn’t speak English, or simply not responding. On one occasion when he did answer, he chose to schedule a visit at a time we were unavailable.
Most recently, we hired a professional attic insulation company to assess the worsening leakage. They confirmed the inadequate insulation and quoted us $6,000 to fix the issue. Out of necessity and concern for our comfort and safety, we paid to fix the problem ourselves. We reported the situation to the warranty provider, but they declined coverage because the repairs had already been completed.
To this day, Sidhu Homes has not responded or acknowledged the issues we’ve faced.
Bottom line: While the homes may appear attractive and come with good deals, the long-term cost of repairs, stress, and lack of post-sale support from Sidhu Homes is not worth the risk. I cannot recommend this builder and advise others to proceed with extreme caution.
