The Mattierin School of Irish dance has been established in Edmonton since 1993. The school is under the instruction of Merv Bell T.C.R.G and Patti Bell. Dancers of the school compete in both teams and solos while doing many performances throughout the year. Skills gained in Irish dance go beyond competitive success. Mattierin strives to instill discipline, dedication, work ethic, confidence, teamwork, commitment, and a high level of fitness while encouraging life-long friendships. Our goal at Mattierin is to teach Irish dance to the best of each dancer’s ability and give them the skills needed to compete and perform at their highest level.
