Psalm 66:16, “Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for my soul.” Come and hear how the Lord has blessed Meadowlands Baptist Church! The Lord used Pastor Don Herb to form Meadowlands Baptist Church on March 7, 1997 by combining Faithway Baptist Church and Northland Baptist Church in Edmonton, Alberta. Pastor Jim Tillotson and his wife Joan came to Canada as missionaries in August, 1997. The Lord blessed our fellowship and in 2000, Pastor Jim became fully supported by Meadowlands. Because the Lord continued to draw His people from unbiblical ministries and from darkness to light, we expanded our main church auditorium in 2004. Dedicated families at Meadowlands helped plant Lighthouse Baptist Church in Edmonton in 2005. In that same year, Meadows Baptist Academy began classes. With the Lord’s continued blessing, Tim Nissly, his family, and others went out to plant Foundation Baptist Church in Edmonton in 2008. The next year, 2009, saw the beginnings of our Bible college, Foundation Baptist College . With the help of many businesses in and outside our church, the education wing, gym, and commercial kitchen were built in 2011. We have also sent out two missionaries from our Edmonton church to Asia and Poland. In September of 2012, Meadowlands planted another church in Athabasca in northern Alberta. Greg Bartlett is pastor of Northlight Baptist Church.
Customers express long-term membership and appreciation for the friendly congregation and beautiful worship space. Some have interacted with the church through community events, specifically the blood donation drives.
