On June 21, 1899, the eighth treaty between the Indians of North America and the Queen of England was signed. The signatories of Treaty 8 agreed to its terms for reasons of peace and friendship - ensuring what they thought would be a partnership. Treaty 8 was the most comprehensive treaty, encompassing a land mass of approximately 840, 000 kilometers, and is home to 39 First Nation communities. Treaty territory covers the areas of Northern Alberta, Northwestern Saskatchewan, Northeastern British Columbia, and the Southwest portion of the Northwest Territories.

No Stone Left Alone was launched in 2011 by Mrs. Maureen G. Bianchini-Purvis in recognition of the sacrifice of the Canadian men and women who have lost their lives in the service of peace, at home and abroad. Maureen Purvis was inspired by her own deceased parents who both served for Canada in World War II. As well as her daughter, Mrs. Keely Yates who had a big idea as a young child. After placing a poppy on her grandparents' headstones every Remembrance Day, she couldn't help but notice that many soldiers’ headstones were without a poppy year after year. It became her mission to see that one day all of the soldier's headstones would have a poppy placed in their honour and the cemetery would resemble the idea of Flanders Fields where the poppies grow "row on row."

Find accepts donations of gently used furniture for sale to the public at reasonable prices. Find also provides furniture, free-of-charge, to individuals and families entering into housing through the Housing First Support Program. The program is coordinated by Homeward Trust and delivered by community agencies across Edmonton, providing permanent housing and follow-up support. Individuals who are experiencing homelessness are housed first and then given the necessary supports to succeed.
