I knew I wanted to be in the beauty industry the second I received my first makeup lesson at the age of 14. I pursued my career in Esthetics 10 years later at Alberta Academy of Aesthetics in Edmonton and graduated in 1994. I have experience in various settings: a hair salon with me being the only Esthetician/Nail Tech, working on my own in my home and then in a Spa setting working along side other Estheticians and Nail Techs. Through the years I have furthered my education with courses and classes in my field as well as business, marketing and motivational seminars. I believe in learning new things and keeping up with the latest trends and techniques. People often ask me what my favorite service to do is and I can never answer a specific service as my whole job is my favorite. I absolutely love making people look and feel good. It’s so rewarding to put smiles on people’s faces everyday. In mid November of 2012 I decided it was time to open my own Spa. Working quickly with the help of my amazing husband, family and friends, my dream of having my own Spa came true officially on January 2, 2013. Not realizing how busy the Spa would become and as quickly as it did, Ashley joined me a short couple months later. Working together again was so much fun and we mesh so well together. Realizing quite quickly that word has spread of the “new spa in town”, the daily demand for massage and other services was something we couldn’t offer in our little two room spa. Luckily the space next door became available a year later and the expansion and renovations began. Adding a massage room and two more treatment rooms has been a great success. With the expansion came more staff and I have to say I have the best group of ladies I have the pleasure of working with everyday! I’m thrilled and excited to come to work daily to visit my amazing co-workers and clients who I feel are a wonderful group of friends.
