Julie King is a Vancouver Island artist working in acrylic and watercolour. Her highly textured landscape paintings are inspired by the mountains and coastline of British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada. Julie grew up in England where she graduated from Leeds University with a BA in Textile Design. She worked in London for several years as a designer and colourist, before moving to a small island in the Caribbean with her husband. There she found another outlet for her creativity and began painting seascapes in oil pastel, inspired by the tropical waters.
