Columbian Industries opened its doors to serve people experiencing intellectual disabilities in 1986. We strive to help each person to develop their potential to the fullest by promoting independence in all areas of daily living; to provide employment for persons with intellectual disabilities; to provide safe and comfortable homes; to be active and valued members in the community; and to provide means of assessing skills to develop personal program plan. Columbian Industries operates a variety of specialized services; an activity centre and workshop, two group homes, a supported apartment living program and two Sarcan depots. Our Day Program provides daily activities including crafts, puzzles, exercise programs, gardening, and woodworking.
