Company description
Matthew J. Robinson, B.Sc., CIM, AR, has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO) and portfolio manager of W.A. Robinson Asset Management Ltd. The Robinson Group includes W.A. Robinson Asset Management Ltd., Pillar Financial Services Inc., Frontenac Mortgage Investment Corporation and Lake District Realty Corp.
Matthew Robinson succeeds Wayne Robinson, who incorporated the Robinson Group in 1980, and who will remain with the organization he founded in a senior advisory capacity. Matthew Robinson joined the firm while still in his teens, obtained his real estate broker licence in January 2000 and sold real estate through Lake District Realty Corp. He earned his mortgage broker designation in October 2004.
Matthew Robinson has been working with the Robinson Group in some capacity for 18 years and has been actively involved with each one, first in marketing and subsequently in other functions as he earned the credentials required to perform other duties. For the past year, he has been defining strategy, building a strong management team and managing the day-to-day operations of the W.A. companies. His appointment as CEO took effect on July 1.
