Description
The Toronto Police Service provides committed, professional policing services to the most diverse city in the world. The Community Mobilization Unit serves as a bridge between the public and the police through various programs, including the Empowered Student Partnerships program (E.S.P.), the Public Education and Crime Eradication (PEACE) Project, the Newcomer Outreach Program, Family Services - Domestic Violence and Child Abuse, Victim Services, and Crime Prevention. The unit also administers the Auxiliary Police program, Volunteer Services, the Civilian Police College, and community-police consultative processes.

Divisional Policing Command is comprised of all of the uniform divisions of the Toronto Police Service. These divisions are the front-line of the Toronto Police Service, making up the majority of our uniformed officers.
The men and women of these divisions are the officers that you will typically meet patrolling your neighbourhood.
Within Divisional Policing Command, there are two separate areas, Central Field, which contains the downtown core of Toronto, and Area Field, which covers the surrounding area of the City of Toronto.
The goal of Community Mobilization is to identify shared community values and support and empower communities to build the capacity necessary to resist and/or prevent crime and disorder.
