Thunder Oak Cheese Farm is the only farm in Ontario that produces Gouda cheese. This creamy Dutch cheese has long been a favourite of cheese lovers around the world. And the Schep Family has been making it in Thunder Bay since 1995. Our award winning Thunder Oak Gouda is a natural product made with fresh milk from the Schep's own Holstein cows. There is no preservatives or added colouring in our cheese!
The Schep family invites you to visit our NEW location if you are in the neighbourhood. We recently moved (see our Contact page) and invite you to come take a look! Have a coffee, try samples of our famous Gouda, and shop around among our Dutch imports. Please note that we currently still make cheese at our old location which is not open to the public. We hope to swtich this over to our new location by Fall 2014.
Our farm store offers Gouda in any quantity - large or small and in 13 different flavours plus mild, medium old and extra old aged. We also have a wide variety of Dutch import products: from cookies, candy, spices and licorice to ceramics and tea towels. Our gifts baskets are very popular and you can be sure you will brighten up somebody's day with one of those. They start at $40 and up, and are extremely popular at Christmas time.
