The Notre Dame Boys, Sudbury, ON

Highly DO NOT recommend going here. My grandma bought a popular assistive chair for my grandpa but he sadly passed away before receiving it. Despite my grandmother's reasonable request to receive a partial refund of her large deposit (only if they managed to sell it in store), her request was refused, leaving the Notre Dame Boys to keep both the deposit and the chair. I suggest going somewhere that values their clients more than lining their own pockets.

I have purchased most of my furniture and appliances from The Notre Dame Boys, and the sales people are all very good and helpful. I purchased the extended warranty on three appliances and had to make a claim on one appliance. I called the store and spoke with Sylvan the service manager, I asked if he could print a copy of my purchase for these items and he told me to come in. I explained that I was 25 kms away and if he could find the copy, I would appreciate it. Sylvan repeated that I had to come to the store. I called back and spoke with Wanda, she put me on hold for less than a minute and asked if I would like it faxed, which she did immediately. So I wondered why Sylvan could not do that, since he was in charge of SERVICE. The third party warranty company was easy enough to deal with, but I found Sylvan's attitude and lack of service, to be counter productive to the shopping experience at Notre Dame Boys. I work retail and try my best to be helpful, polite and give good customer service, I think Sylvan should take notes from the sales people he works with and be more helpful to the customers who have paid for a service warranty, without making them feel that they are wasting his time.

Because the sales person forgot to advise me of a store policy, I was notifies 3 hours prior to delivery of 4 pieces that one piece could not delivered. I offered to pay for the delivery. I was denied. Management was arrogant and inflexible and demonstrated poor customer service. Ultimately I was unable to get the last piece. Management said it was not their problem, even if it was fully paid for already. DO NOT SHOP THERE.
