The Kayak Exchange, Shediac, NB

We knew what we wanted when we went to the store in Shediac. There we were a bit put off by the salesperson, but we went ahead and purchased the two kayaks we wanted. There were only three left, so we paid in full to be sure to have them for the summer. We were not ready to take them with us but were assured it would be fine to leave them there for a while. He just asked us to give a day or two of notice when we were coming to pick up. When we called, the person working informed us that the kayaks we had purchased had been sold to someone else. Over the course of a few days they offered us some discounts on much higher priced kayaks, but had nothing comparable. The manager didn't want to lose any money. We had to take a trip back to return the paddles. They gave us a refund. The experience has left a bad taste, for sure, and we will not be doing further business with them.
