The owner Ashley was very rude to us and we felt very discriminated against when she told us if we wanted to pet horses to get our own. We had gone for a walk with our baby and 14 year old son. The baby wanted to see the horses and the horses came right up to the fence. The fence we were at didn’t appear to have any signage like the fence across the street so we believed it would be ok to pet the horses since they came up to us. Ashley came driving up, I smiled and said hello. She immediately told us that where we were standing (the ditch) was private property and we needed to leave. We were fine to move away from the fence but she insisted the ditch itself was private property and shoo’d us away like animals. She told us she didn’t need our business even though her website says her company goal is to “build a welcoming community for those who love horses and riding” which we do. When she said if we wanted to pet a horse to get our own we felt very attacked for not having a horse and very discriminated against as well. When she told us she didn’t care that we had wanted to give her our business previously and then rudely stated that she didn’t need our business we felt very unwelcome, which is the opposite of what her website states. I hope no one else is treated with the same indignity and disgust as Ashley treated us. We were in no way harming the horses or feeding them or anything. We had tried to walk away a couple minutes before but our 15 month old wanted to stay and see the horses a bit longer. This was very rude and unprofessional behaviour by the OWNER of the company. Very disappointing that someone would treat another human being with this much disdain, disgust and disregard.
