Tapps Restaurant, Scarborough, ON

Poor. I attended last night with a group of 30 people. We made a reservation. There appeared to be only one waitress serving the whole restaurant. I arrived @ 8:15. Thought we could order, eat and enjoy company and dance later. What a mistake! Drink order badly prepared (watery and overspiced). Food orders not taken until 9:00 P.M. Apparently only one cook in the kitchen. Orders came out two at a time. MY Special, the tilapia came out @ 10:30 and was luke warm. My wife's roast beef was nowhere close to the menu indicated size and was overdone. Yorkshire pudding burnt and inedible. Original order came out wrong (steak). Bill wrong later as well. Everyone complaining. New owner does not appear to care!! If you want to drink and dance, this may be the place if you're over 60 and don't mind Jim Reagan's off key and flat renditions of 50's to 70's favourites. The place got so loud it was impossibe to communicate. I'd never go back and warn others to do likewise.
