We always have a lovely time at sunlous, we enjoy their many events including chanting, meditating and dancing. I highly recommend a visit to this little peice of paradise and the food is great !

Sun Lotus is one of the most beautiful, yet simple and rustic B&B accommodation with a focus on sharing their daily yogic practice. With their lightly scheduled practice of yoga asana, meditation and satsang, it is a perfect place to create your own economical personal yoga retreat or getaway for you or your small group of friends--learn vegetarian cooking, drumming or use free bicycles, go hiking, swim in the pond, relax in the sun....It is a slice of paradise!
Company description
Sun Lotus Life Center is situated on beautifully picturesque land in the Cowichan Valley of Vancouver Island. Sun Lotus is dedicated to bringing the joy of yoga to members of our community and the world. We welcome volunteers throughout the summer to help us lovingly build a garden-sanctuary, a testament to selfless-service & inter-cultural cooperation, that promotes peace, harmony and environmental awareness. We strive to present a model lifestyle of sustainability and awareness through various yogic practices, primarily meditation, asana, chant, selfless-service and vegetarianism. Further, with the use of recycled, re-used, found, fabricated and gifted materials -- Sun Lotus tries to provide a living example of how creativity can curb consumerism, waste and consumption and the profoundly negative effects it has on the environment and individuals. Vision & Goals Our vision for Sun Lotus in the next few years is to create a perma-culture organic food-garden both to become virtually self-sufficient and to model sustainable home-scale food production. The eventual goal of the Sanctuary will be to get "off-the-grid" and to become a "hub" which brings together people of like mind, in a connected, kind and sustainable community. our dream!
