As Gayle Halliwell crossed into her fifth decade she set sail on a new course. Navigating from a 9-to-5 life to one of a visual artist has been one of the most interesting voyages on which she has embarked.

Gayle has always wanted to let the sails of her creative soul fill and move her in artistic directions. As only she could, Gayle dove into the sea of visual arts with energy and enthusiasm. She studied with noted Manitoba artists, sought out and created concentric circles of learning, and splashed pigments with wild abandon. In her workspace Studio 410, Gayle captures Lake Winnipeg landscapes in unique water media and ceramic sculpture. Her love affair with the lake and its surroundings comes from decades of experience afloat and a lifetime of admiring from beach and shore.
