St. Benedict Public Association of the Faithful, Edmonton, AB

The community of St Benedict, Public Association of the Faithful, consists of a group of Roman Catholic former Anglicans in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada who sought unity with the Catholic Church under the terms of Pope Benedict’s Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum Coetibus. We belong to the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter, in Houston Texas. There are other Personal Ordinariates in England and Wales, and in Australia. Our original members were received into the Catholic Church at The Church of the Assumption by Bishop Gregory Bittman on Sunday the 29th July, 2012. We are part of the Ordinariate’s Canadian Deanery of St John the Baptist established on the 7th December, 2012 in Calgary Alberta.
