Smooth Air Systems' (formerly Husky Floor Machines Commercial Division) President Don Campbell has been in the vacuum business for over 39 years. Don started in 1976, knocking on doors for Electrolux Canada in Red Deer, Alberta. It was cold, the wind was blowing and he remembers telling his wife he would continue only until he could find a real job. It turned out to be fun; selling to small towns, farms and ranches. Don came from a farming background in southern Saskatchewan, so it fit to sell to folks of that background. Don spent the next 13 years selling and managing stores in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. He finished his career with Electrolux as a senior division manager; it was time to settle down and quit moving all over the country. In 1989, Don started a store in Kamloops, BC called Hi Tech Vacuum; the store is alive and doing well.
