Welcome to Sherwood's Forests Tree Farm.
We grow and sell Alberta hardy trees throughout central Alberta.
We grow mostly in containers. Our trees are large enough to miss with a mower, small enough to plant with a shovel.
Our customers:
The acreage owner whose dreams and visions are larger than their budget, and need to start with young trees.
Reclamation contractors who need trees that are larger than nursery seedlings, but smaller than conventional garden centre trees.
Come visit. I'll show you around the nursery, and around the farm. Even if you don't need trees right now, I'm happy to talk about possibilities with you, show some of my ideas about landscaping. They say, "Talk is cheap." I go one better: Talk is free. PHONE First. Otherwise you will have to ask the cat where I am. 80 acres works out to 3 million square feet.

** Soil, not bark chips. I tried various mixes, but found that most of my trees do well in a mix that is half compost and half field soil. It's heavier than the Big Box store, but better for the trees.
** Personal Service & Good Advice. I believe that an informed, educated customer can make better decisions.
