What we are doing at Ribbon Revival to reduce our carbon footprint: We re-use the plastic casing which is made from approximately 4 litres of oil. We recycle all recyclable plastics used during the remanufacturing process. We use boxes that are made from 80%-90% recycled cardboard and the remaining comes from a sustainable forest. Our boxes also have vegetable based ink which reduces the VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) released into the air during printing. We re-use any packing material and returned undamaged boxes and recycle any that are damaged. All of our waste paper goes to a confidential shredding company and from there the shredded paper is sold to a pulp mill and used to make secondary paper products.
