Pathways to Education, Toronto, ON

Every year, thousands of Canadian students make the life-altering decision to drop out of high school. In some of the country’s most vulnerable neighbourhoods, up to 50 per cent of students do not graduate from high school, taking a dramatic toll on our communities, our health and justice systems, and our economy.
Pathways to Education is helping youth from low-income communities graduate from high school and successfully transition into post-secondary education, training, or employment. Pathways addresses the barriers that can stand in the way of high school graduation and the potential for a brighter future by providing leadership, expertise, and a community-based program proven to lower dropout rates.
The Pathways Program provides an award-winning combination of academic, financial, individual, and social supports to youth in a safe, positive, and empowering space. The Program is delivered through local organizations who serve their communities through a team of staff and volunteers. With a framework that is flexible and resonates with local needs, they are able to leverage the credibility and inherent knowledge within the community.
