OSP O SP is a non-profit and charitable agency dedicated to providing services in the Edmonton region to individuals with ongoing medical conditions or disabilities that will Once clients are employed, OSP assists individuals to maintain employment through the provision of employment supports. In addition, employers are accommodated and supported when an OSP client is hired. Programs at OSP are funded by Alberta Human Services, Service Canada, and Alberta Health Services. In 2001, OSP became a charitable organization under the Societies Act as “On Site Placement Services Association” - though we go by the name “On Site Placement.” OSP was founded in 1981 by Donna Garvin and the late Helena Burke, who saw the Recognizing the gap between hardworking individuals with disabilities and employers willing to support them, OSP focused on providing “on site” employment supports. OSP is indebted to the leadership of Helena and Donna, who envisioned a future where all citizens participate fully in society. Beginning as a handful of individuals working with limited resources, OSP has grown to a staff of 29 employees serving well over 300.
