The Emergency Department is open 24 hr/day 7 days per week. It is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of registered nurses, registered respiratory therapists, social services, pastoral care, crisis intervention, orthopaedic technicians and other members of our health care team. To serve you better we have implemented a 5-level triage system. Highest priority is given to those who are critically ill. Upon assessment people with emergencies will be treated first. Every patient will be seen, by a registered nurse with special skills and training in triage. Patients should let the nurse know if their condition get worse. There are five levels of triage - patients will be seen by a physician in order of their assessed triage level.
