The National Executive (as elected at the Triennial Convention) is composed of the National President, the First National Vice-President, the Second National Vice-President and the Assistant to the National President. The National Executive is part of the National Council which also includes the National Directors of the Component. The Assistant to the National President has a voice on the Council and the National Executive but no vote. National Directors of the Union are the Presidents of each Local that have a membership of 20 members or more. If the number of members is such that a Local is entitled to additional National Directors, they are elected by members of the Local. At present, the National Council is composed of sixteen members, four of which are members of the National Executive and twelve are National Directors.
