Description
Mitchell Feed Mill has been a family owned business since June of 1960 when Ed and Jean Dolmage started the company with the purchase of a Daffin Mobile Feed Unit. This was the first mobile feed mill in the Perth/Huron area and offered a new service to the livestock producers. On farm milling gained in popularity as customers did not have to haul their grain to town to have it processed, saving time for the always busy farmer.
The company operated under the banner of Mitchell Mobile Feed Service Ltd. and by 1966 had expanded to a fleet of 5 mobile feed units serving an ever growing customer base throughout Perth and Huron counties.
