He didn't work for me. Maybe he will for you, but it was obvious he did not think my issues worthy of his time. I was going through a really tough time and needed help in my early 20s. I forget who recommended him. He admonished me more than once for bringing up traumatic instances from my past, the very things I needed help processing. I could tell he thought my problem was I saw myself as a victim. I don't necessarily disagree, but I was looking for compassion and understanding and while he never said it explicitedly, his advice seemed to boil down to just get over it. I don't know this for sure, but I have to wonder if this would be the case if I wasn't a woman and a POC. There was also a comment he once made, which is minor but irks me. I had a boss at the time I liked and got along with. He owned a sandwich shop. I mentioned him to Dr. Lustig, along with the fact that my boss had gotten a degree from Oxford. Steve made a divisive comment about him, because he owned a sandwich shop. What's wrong with being a small business owner? My ex boss was a great guy who seemed to love his life. Again, kinda minor, but bugged me. Also because I was having trouble with school I mentioned I thought I should maybe be tested for a learning disability. He didn't think I should. I later got tested and wouldn't you know it. Anyways, can't say my time with him was fruitful, or give him a recommendation, but maybe we just weren't a great doctor/patient match.
