Description
Johnson’s Construction was instrumental in the construction that lead to the opening of the Trans Labrador Highway in December of 2009. This was one of the largest and most significant transportation projects in Newfoundland and Labrador’s history. We continue to work in all aspects of the heavy civil construction industry including all types of excavation, road-building, bridge and wharf construction, and commercial building construction. We have just completed the construction of our own new facility in Corner Brook which includes 16, 000 sq ft of office and warehouse space as well a 16, 000 sq ft modern repair facility. Our new property also houses our Concrete Batch Plant as well as an on- site quarry for the production of aggregates.

We are an experienced heavy civil contractor located in Corner Brook, NL. While the initial focus of our company was construction of resource roads, we have diversified and expanded and now work in all facets of heavy civil construction. Our newest endeavor is our “Johnson’s Concrete” division. Although this is a new facet of our operation we have many years of experience working with and producing ready mix concrete. We have a state of the art computerized Stationery Batch Plant, as well as a mobile plant, a fleet of radio equipped mixer trucks, and 2 radio equipped pumper trucks. With this equipment and our experienced and knowledgeable staff we can supply all residential and commercial requirements for ready mix concrete and aggregates in the Corner Brook and surrounding area. We think the construction outlook for Newfoundland and Labrador is very positive so we are definitely optimistic about what the future holds.
