J Floris menardy12 We are a commercial/residential general contractor specializing in the construction of commercial and residential structures. Our projects include new construction as well as renovations. Since the foundation of J. Floris Construction in 1996, we have completed a variety of projects, including financial institutions, healthcare centres, residential developments, and commercial warehousing. Contracts and project cost control are administered by Timberline accounting software, and scheduling is managed using Microsoft Project. With the use of these tools we maintain organization and control for the duration of each project. At J. Floris Construction, we value quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. As a result, we gain many repeat clients and obtain much of our work via word of mouth and referrals. LEED As a result of our devotion to creating a sustainable community, J. Floris Construction has successfully completed several LEED projects. From design stage to project completion, it is our responsibility to maintain all onsite activities and material tracking to obtain the LEED accreditation desired. SAFETY Safety and first aid on the jobsite is imperative. At J. Floris Construction, each of our employees is trained in Level 1 First Aid. We hold numerous safety training sessions with our employees, as well as weekly tool box talks to discuss the prevention of accidents. All employees are trained in chemical anchoring, fire stopping and smoke seal, power actuated training and WHIMIS training. We have three Level 2 first aid attendants as well as a Construction Safety Coordinator. Every month each site undergoes a thorough review and reports are issued documenting safety activity on site.
