Island Veterinary Services is a large animal mobile veterinary practice dedicated to providing preventative, diagnostic, surgical and emergency service to equine, food animal and hobby farm animal clientele in beautiful Prince Edward Island. It is owned and operated by Dr. Kim MacDonald who has more than 10 years experience as a large animal veterinarian and a lifetime of experience working with ruminants, horses and poultry. With a specialty in mastitis, milk quality and antibiotic therapy, Dr. Kim provides milk quality consultations and investigations to dairy herds to reduce mastitis risk, somatic cell counts and antibiotic usage. Also an avid equestrian, Dr. Kim works with the equine community to provide services including preventative dental exams and floating, lameness evaluation, radiography and ultrasound diagnostics and emergency medical care and surgery.
