Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, Seaforth, ON

The Alliance was founded in July 2003 by four hospital corporations, including, Clinton Public Hospital, St. Marys Memorial Hospital, Seaforth Community Hospital, and Stratford General Hospital. The Boards of Directors of the founding hospitals recognized that to appropriately respond to the many challenges facing the healthcare system, working closer together was required. Key issues such as funding instability, being able to keep and attract the people required to provide the many and varied services offered, addressing redevelopment needs, and, acquiring new technology are all better addressed in a coordinated fashion. "By 2008, the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance will be the Province of Ontario's Acknowledged Leader in the Delivery, Coordination and Integration of Innovative and Sustainable System-Focused Rural Healthcare." In achieving this Vision, the Alliance will remain true to its founding principles, all of which are outlined in the Alliance Agreement
