Description
The Get to Know Program has been inspiring connections between youth and nature for over a decade. This program works with a diverse group of partners to educate, inspire, and empower youth. The central philosophy of the Get to Know Program is simple: caring for the planet begins with getting to know our neighbours of other species. The problem is that we live in a society where youth can recognize over 1, 000 corporate logos but can name fewer than 10 species of wildlife in their communities. We believe that the more youth know about their natural world, the more likely they are to care for it and preserve it for future generations.
