Gas Field Innovators Ltd (GFI) has been in business since 1996 and during this time among other items has developed a rapidly growing in demand 60 hp booster natural gas compressor known as the Gas Hog. It is GFI’s own design and was manufactured in Alberta, Canada and is tested, supplied and serviced from its facility in Linden, AB (110 Km north east of Calgary, Alberta). The Gas Hogs were first installed and serviced within a 100 KM radius of Linden, but soon were being supplied throughout the whole province of Alberta. The Company services what it manufactures. GFI has been continuously making improvements to the general design and performance of its low horsepower natural gas compressors since its inception in 1996. The first 50 units or generation one, were built with minimal automation or ability to handle fluids. The second group of 30 units or generation two were built with bigger scrubbers, with auto bypass, with clutch for easy starting and computerized control panels. The succeeding 30 units or the 3rd generation were manufactured with an improved more efficient compressor cylinder arrangement, with a produced liquid pump and a discharge natural gas cooler. GFI has a total of 113 units located in the Western Canadian sedimentary basin. Since the introduction of 3rd generation compressors, the geographical area has expanded from south eastern Alberta to the Rainbow Lake area in northern Alberta, as well as to Estevan, Sask and to Ft. Nelson, BC.
