Garneau Towers Apartments, Edmonton, AB

This place is horrible...there is no heat in the winter, and its too hot in the summer, the water is shut off every two weeks for "maintenance", It is an adult building tho I have young, LOUD children on either side of me, the other tenants are loud and inconciderate as well, dogs are allowed to bark and whine at early hours. If you have issues in your apartment they are "fixed" half assed. My taps were leaking for months before sombody came to fix them and a week later they are in the same condition. because my neighbours are pigs I have silverfish in my bathroom. There is no hot water for those people who shower in the morning and you have to let the water run for at least ten minutes before you get some. I was lucky enough to be under someone who plays creepy organ music...loudly and BADLY...in the afternoon. They pretend to "value" the residents but this is a lie. I was unhappy about the extra hundred they wanted to add to my new lease (even tho the building is not full)and when I asked who I could talk to about it they gave me a fake name and refused to give me an email, number, or address for this person. I looked her up later on the web and she does not exist. At least she does not work for Capreit. Even after emailing the top people at Capreit about the problems with the building and wanting to discuss the terms of my new lease no one wrote back to me. DO NOT RENT HERE!!! you will regret it!!!
