Essonance Chamber Choir, Vancouver, BC

Essonance Chamber Choir is a local community choir founded by Livia Gho in 2008. The choir is made up of a diverse group of young adults with passion in music. This energetic and dedicated group comes together from various academic backgrounds and many of the members are non-music majors. The current Artistic Director and Conductor of Essonance Chamber Choir is Ann Chen, a Piano graduate from School of Music in University of British Columbia.

As a community choir, reaching out and spreading the joys of singing and performing contemporary compositions to the local communities is the main goal of the group. The choir hosts its own concert series in collaboration with other musical groups and is actively looking to commission and perform the works of living composers.
