La Corporation de gestion des Rivières Matapédia et Patapédia est organisme sans but lucratif. Issue d'une concertation de 23 municipalités réparties sur 2 MRC soit celle de la Matapédia et celle d'Avignon, la C.G.R.M.P. a été mandatée par le gouvernement afin de gérer la réserve faunique des rivières Matapédia et Patapédia ainsi que la réserve faunique la Dunière. La Corporation a pour objectif d'assurer la gestion et le développement de la ressource dans un esprit de conservation et de mise en valeur de la ressource, tout en maximisant les retombées économiques sur le développement régional.The Corporation de Gestion des Rivières Matapédia et Patapédia is a non-profit-making organization. Stemming from a consensus of 23 municipalities spread over 2 regional municipal counties which are Matapédia and Avignon, the C.G.R.M.P. has been mandated by the government to manage the Réserve faunique des Rivières-Matapédia-et-Patapédia and the Reserve faunique Duniere. The Corporation's goal is to ensure the management and the conservation of the resource in a spirit of preservation and development while maximising the economical benefits on a regional bases. It promotes the education and the awareness of the general population about the value and the potential of that resource in the Matapedia valley.
