The Coffee Sheds are business partnerships of people with developmental disabilities who, with the help of Common Ground Co-operative, are using the skills and talents they have to create employment for themselves. E ach Coffee Shed sells confectionery items, delicious baked goods, freshly brewed coffee and sandwiches and salads which are prepared daily. Our coffee is organically grown fair trade coffee, without pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers using methods that support the worker and the environment. Workers growing the coffee are paid a fair price for their produce. All Coffee Sheds have an extensive catering menu and can create a custom order to suit your event. The Coffee Shed has three locations: Surrey Place Centre in downtown Toronto (started in 2001) The University of Toronto’s New College Campus (started in 2003) and JVS Toronto, a career and employment organization located at Dufferin and Tycos (started in 2004).
