Description
COD-NL’s main role is information, education and awareness. It strives to involve its members and all persons with disabilities in its objective of influencing change and policy at all levels of government.
COD-NL brings together various organizations of and for persons with disabilities to address issues of mutual concern. COD-NL works with individual and representatives organizations to address policy and program issues around education, training, employment, labour market strategies, social and economic development, human rights, accessibility, accommodations, income support, home support services, etc. COD-NL also works with federal, provincial and municipal government departments in policy consultation and advocacy capacities.
