Chartrand's Your Independent Grocer, Alexandria, ON

Not impressed. There are things I would like to buy, which I can get at Baxtrom's Independant in Cornwall and also at No Frills Cornwall, but not in Alexandria, I am always told head office decides what they are sent, which is just not good enough. So if I have to go farther afield, I will just do my entire order elsewhere. Also I cannot always get vegetables unless packaged in bulk. For one thing, I prefer to inspect my own veggies, which is difficult when they are pre packaged, as often the pre packaged stuff id often mouldy. Also who needs a big bunch of bok choy, for instance, when all you need is 2 at most? many of my friends complain about this too and now refuse to shop there. They jcomplain at the store, but no one pays attention. I have tried writing reviews elsewhere, but, for some reason they never seem to get posted. Having said all this, at least the cashiers are friendly, cheerful,and try their best to be helpful. Which is the only reason I give this store 3 stars.
