Belanger Organic Farms, Hillsdale, ON

The Belanger family has been in Canada since the settlement of New France in 1600. Thus began a tradition of farming in Quebec, Ontario, and other parts of Canada and the US. The Belanger Family Farm began in 1945 when Onesime Belanger purchased the Belanger farm land land in Hillsdale, Ontario and began raising farm animals, dairying, baking and planting crops for the Ontario commercial food distribution system. Their traditional methods of farming finally came into it’s own with the advent of federal government ‘organic’ farm certification in the last decade. Their simple philosophy was behind their organic beginnings. “Never sell anything that we would not consume ourselves.”

Today, that hasn’t changed, even though the farm has grown and evolved. Natural is always best – organic, all-natural, hormone, gmo and pesticide-free – we’re all that and have been for half a century, and will continue to be for many more generations to come.
