like a user a couple comments below, i have trichotillomania too. i have been to a salon or anything like that for over 10 yrs because the last time i went in, i felt like i was being made fun of. at this place i could finally feel like i could take my hat off without everything crashing down on me emotionally. i got a hair piece to cover the spot that i pull and it matched my own hair colour spot on. i can wash my hair and go swimming and stuff too. i've gone in for 2 maintenance appointments and my hair has grown at least 2 inches. i look forward to my hair growing more and hopefully beating trich. #trichotillomania #trichstersunite

I thank my lucky stars that I took my time to research Vancouver and find this place. I've been wearing hair extensions for 11 years (mostly done in Toronto, Montreal and parts of the states). I've never been to a place that is so professional, clean and knowledgeable. They offer complimentary refreshments, the rooms are private and have an incredible view. Their hair extensions (remy) are the best quality I've ever used, and last for such a long time. I've been going for about a year now and my extensions are still in incredible shape, where as if I were to purchase packaged hair from a store, it would be tangled and wrecked within a couple months. Do your research, but make sure you check out Pacific, they're truly the best in this country! -Deidre Kennedy

I absolutely LOVED my experience at Pacific Hair. They greeted me with green tea, and ran me through the entire extension process so that I fully understood what I would be getting. The view is an experience in itself!! The hair matched my natural hair perfectly. It was brown, with lowlights and highlights that looked identical to my natural colour. Kristina (the extension tech) trimmed the hair around my face to look natural and blend in with my layers. I was so happy with the way my hair turned out and have been getting compliments from everyone!! I will keep going to Pacific Hair because I truly have never had such a great job done on my extensions!!

I've been going to Pacific Hair Extensions and Hair Replacement since June. Sorting through Trichotillomania has been a hard process, but the ladies at this studio make me feel so comfortable. They have private rooms, which is rare, so even on days when my confidence isn't as high, I can feel safe. The wonderful personalities of the staff make everything alright. I've never had a better experience seeking help with my hair loss, bar none. This process has helped tremendously to make me feel like a full person again. I'm confident, I can go out without a hat on, I can swim, all these things I was too ashamed to do...for pretty much my entire life up until I met the Pacific Hair team!

I absolutely love being able to wear Pacific Hair Extensions! The extensions feel so natural and soft, just like my own hair. And they are exactly colour matched to my blonde highlights. Not only do I wear the extensions both wavy and straight to add volume and thickness on days I shoot, but there is also a ponytail I love to wear as well. It makes getting ready for shoots, red carpets or events so easy and quick, while still looking camera ready. I definitely recommend trying Pacific Hair Extensions if you are looking for a little more glam in your life.

I must say I was skeptical about getting hair extensions at first. I have had extensions done from numerous other places in Vancouver and some of the places I would not walk in to again due to hair damages, bald spots etc. When I first heard about pacific hair extensions I knew because they specialized in hair loss that clearly there extensions wouldn't be damaging to my hair. I thought why not. So I went and got extensions & absolutely love them. I feel way more confident and my hair is not damaged at all from the extensions. I love them and would go back in a heart beat.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple months ago and due to the nature of my growth, I unfortunately had to opt for chemotherapy. Getting a wig wasn't the first thing on my mind, but eventually once I started to look a little further into my future I realized I was going to lose some if not all my hair. I hit google and started to look around the city for places that offered wigs, and something that would look natural as well. They offer free consultations for all kinds of hair loss, so I was able to go in on a Saturday with my husband and see what they had to offer. I was honestly, very scared - this is not something in a million years I would've thought I would have to do, hunt around town for a wig. During the consultation, my consultant went over the differences between synthetic wigs, human hair wigs, custom human hair wigs. In terms of pricing, they range from $800 - $1500 and can last anywhere from a year to three years. (I'm still on my first couple months with it, so I'll have to report back with the life expectancy of it). The consultant suggested I chose a style that was exactly what I had already, perhaps a little longer. If I have something that is what I'm used to already seeing, the transition would be less of a blow. She said the most important thing is to make sure that we can get a hair system that no one would be able to tell is a hair system. The human hair wigs have a hand tied portion so that it looks like it's actually growing out of your head. She was friendly, realistic and straight to the point, at my age that's all I'm looking for. Since I had not done my treatment yet, we chose a style (I opted to go for human hair, because I'd still like to heat style it), worked out pricing and I took my package information with me until I was ready. A few weeks later when I had my energy up and was sporting a bald look I came back in to order the style we had already chosen (they kept all my information on file). I had an appointment booked as soon as the following Tuesday and was very very nervous. When I first laid eyes on my wig, I just couldn't imagine it on my head. They placed it on and the fit was snug but not too tight, straightened it out and started on the cut. They were able to match the exact cut that I had before, but suggested I keep it a bit longer. They talked me through the whole appointment (they could probably tell I was a bit nervous). The appointment took about an hour and a half and they went over styling information and gave me shampoo and conditioner samples. We’re part of a women's support group for those going through chemotherapy and there are about five of us now who have wigs from Pacific. Highly recommend!
