Continued focus on client engagement drives jump in IG’s 2022 J.D. Power investor satisfaction results
2022.05.11
J.D. Power recently released its 2022 Full-Service Investor Satisfaction Study. The study measures overall investor satisfaction with full-service investment firms in seven factors: people; trust; products and services; value for fees; ability to manage wealth how and when I want; problem resolution; and digital channels.
In 2022, IG Wealth Management’s (IGWM) ranking in overall satisfaction improved significantly from 14th to 6th. Our overall satisfaction score rose 56 points versus 2021, from 623 to 679 out of a possible 1,000, and we scored at or slightly ahead of the industry average on all measures. This showcases the attractiveness of our client value proposition, which goes beyond only investments, to offer truly comprehensive financial planning.
Our highest lead above the average was for “People (financial advisors and support staff),” which speaks directly to the knowledge and expertise of our advisors, their teams and all of our employees.
We’re encouraged by this improvement. Client engagement has been a key focus over the last several years, beginning with our introduction of the Gallup Client Engagement Survey in 2017. In fact, the progress measured by J.D. Power aligns with the improvements we’ve seen in our own Client Engagement Survey. We’ve made it a priority to understand our clients’ experience and to identify opportunities to improve it in every client interaction – and we are seeing the results of our efforts.
Together, we’ve worked hard to enhance our ability to be there for our clients when they needed us most – and we will continue to do so. With everyone working together and in the same direction – from our Consultants and Senior Leadership to the teams in Distribution, Brand, Research, Digital, IG University, Communications, Product, Legal/Compliance, Technology, and Client Services – we have rolled out several initiatives to improve the client experience.
