These new standards and requirements for corrosion exceed limitations of traditionally used finishes of conventional zinc and cadmium. M&M PLATING INC. offers an alternative - our Zinc Nickel Process. This process outperforms conventional zinc plating, producing a zinc-nickel alloy, it corrodes more slowly than conventional zinc. This protects the base metal for a longer period of time. Chromating produces a zinc nickel alloy chromate film that is rich in nickel, which adds to increasing the corrosion resistance of the durable zinc nickel base 5 times (versus only two times for chromating conventional zinc).
