Chilliwack Senior Peer Counsellors is a senior’s volunteer organization that has been operating since April 2000. Training commenced in January 2000. It is one of 33 other peer support groups in B.C. and while our organization is an affiliate of Senior Peer Counsellors of B.C. in March 2006 we became our own autonomous society. We started with a grant from Fraser Health Region and from the Chilliwack Foundation. In 2006 the Ministry of public safety and solicitor general also gave us a grant. The majority of our funding over the years has came from the BC Gaming Commission
