In the 1950's, the Adams had a great vision. They decided to turn an old log dump into a Salmon Fishing destination called the Adam’s Resort. They took bare land and by the late 1950’s they had visitors from all over staying at the resort and catching the elusive Big Tyee Salmon. Years later, the new owner, Recourt BV, purchased the property in 2007 to fulfill and continue with the Adams dream. Even though the old lodge and beach cabins are long gone, Willem and Erica Recourt, together with their daughter Esther and son-in-law Brent Hollink, are striving to bring the old and new dream back to reality again. Since the days of the Adams’ Resort, the Ripple Rock RV Park was constructed. To the highest standards, the RV Park boasts many amenities such as 60 full serviced concrete pad sites, an octagon clubhouse to host all types of functions and events, hot tub, fitness center, playground and laundry and shower facilities. The Brown's Bay Marina has seen many upgrades over the years. It can now accommodate vessels up to 100’ and the power has been upgraded as well. With fuel, tackle and clothing available, you will have all the services needed to have a great stay. The Narrow’s Floating Restaurant was completely renovated in 2012. There are also many “West Coast” items on the menu. The Recourt's knew the one thing that was missing from the "old" days was the lack of accommodation. So, in 2011, three new Custom Cabins were built. Being only a stones throw away from the water, the views from their decks are breathtaking. All log furniture is hand made on Vancouver Island to insure you have a west coast vacation. As the times and owners have changed, the vision still remains the same.
