Calgary photographer John Sharpe started as a commercial/editorial photographer in the 90’s shooting for magazines such as Maclean’s magazine, Canadian Geographic, ESPN in New York and many more. After a decade of demanding assignments, stressed out editors, nutty art directors and even a stunt plane ride at 3 G’s, John decided he needed to slow down or burn out. Since then, he has shifted to shooting at his own pace, reinvigorating his craft and becoming a virtuoso of the digital age. He has developed his own unique style with an acute attention to detail and a desire to bring out the best of the subject matter at hand. John is now a leading real estate and commercial photographer in Calgary. He has shot for clients such as Brookfield Homes, Jayman, The Cooperators, Bellstar Resorts, Best Western and many more. John also has a passion for shooting people and strives to deliver the same attention to detail to his subjects. John attributes his creativity to drinking too many Lattes and Diet Cokes.
